Who You?

County Field Days in rural areas have a mix of everything from tractor displays and sales to rides. This is a raptor display put on by Vermont DNR. (Part of a Photo Essay)

These county fairs are a big part of rural life. Everything from livestock showing and judging to baking and judging takes place. People get to see who is doing what and see persons they don’t get to see regularly during the year.

For persons that don’t live on farms or in a rural setting, this probably doesn’t mean very much. During their daily living they get much contact with others.

Two months after I made this photo essay for the paper, I moved from Vermont to South Carolina.

About Vermont Woodchuck

Professional Photojournalist since 1969 with a BFA from SUNY Purchase 1979-Visual Arts. I despise advocacy news journalism. Every photojournalist should be prepared to show their camera RAW images of news events. Reason: RAW images cannot be altered no matter what is done to the finished product.
