Vermont’s Fifth Season

This is the season that the flatlanders find out about the hard way. It is the season that brought about the phrase, “You can’t hardly get there from here.” During this season which occurs between early Spring and late Spring is called MUD Season and it is the time of the thaw when that 7′ of frost comes out of the ground and turns those back roads into soup. Forget about front end alignment. FWD is a must and maybe chains too. Welcome to Spring in Vermont.Mud season starts Hubbard Road, Salisbury Vermont 03/03/2007

About Vermont Woodchuck

Professional Photojournalist since 1969 with a BFA from SUNY Purchase 1979-Visual Arts. I despise advocacy news journalism. Every photojournalist should be prepared to show their camera RAW images of news events. Reason: RAW images cannot be altered no matter what is done to the finished product.
