Soaring Terns and Gulls

I used a watercolor wash on Bristol board for the background with light crosshatching with a small brush. The white areas on the birds had a resist applied to keep the watercolor from affecting that areas of the artwork.Birds are done with a brush and finished with a small nib.
From a photo made in Florida back in 1973.

About Vermont Woodchuck

Professional Photojournalist since 1969 with a BFA from SUNY Purchase 1979-Visual Arts. I despise advocacy news journalism. Every photojournalist should be prepared to show their camera RAW images of news events. Reason: RAW images cannot be altered no matter what is done to the finished product.
