Waiting for the ferry

The Shoreham-Fort Ticonderoga ferry crossing Lake Champlain is a short ride. The southern most ferry on the lake, it operates late spring to late fall. It is a cable ferry, meaning that it follows a cable laid across the lake from dock to dock. If one doesn’t wish to take the ferry, the only options are going around the south end of the lake at Whitehall, NY or driving up to West Addison to the Crown Point Bridge.Fort Ti FerryEnd of Rte 73, Shoreham Vermont 09/03/2005

About Vermont Woodchuck

Professional Photojournalist since 1969 with a BFA from SUNY Purchase 1979-Visual Arts. I despise advocacy news journalism. Every photojournalist should be prepared to show their camera RAW images of news events. Reason: RAW images cannot be altered no matter what is done to the finished product.
