A hot time in the town tonight

Smoke and noise woke me about 2230 hours. I could see the flashing lights so I grabbed the camera and went outside. The restaurant up the road since shuttered was ablaze. No other news photographer in sight. I had this story to myself. Ferrisburgh is a small town, a wide spot in Rte. 7 on the way to Burlington. Most of the 60 people that live around the ‘center’ of the town were out watching this landmark , Burdick’s Restaurant go up in a cloud of pollution.Ferrisburgh Roadhouse fire

About Vermont Woodchuck

Professional Photojournalist since 1969 with a BFA from SUNY Purchase 1979-Visual Arts. I despise advocacy news journalism. Every photojournalist should be prepared to show their camera RAW images of news events. Reason: RAW images cannot be altered no matter what is done to the finished product.
