Spring in Vermont

One might guess from the look of the land that you are in the throes of winter. Well you are not. This is the first day of Spring, a cause of celebration. This is sugaring time, getting into the knee deep snow in the sugarbush where the taps are and the lines are run. Lots of work there; red squirrels raise hob with the sap lines. Everyone is out checking fences, fixing any winter damage and getting a head start on the summer work. Before summer, there is another season-called Mud. That is a real treat for the unwary.Vermont SpringEast Road New Haven, Vermont, 03/21/2008

About Vermont Woodchuck

Professional Photojournalist since 1969 with a BFA from SUNY Purchase 1979-Visual Arts. I despise advocacy news journalism. Every photojournalist should be prepared to show their camera RAW images of news events. Reason: RAW images cannot be altered no matter what is done to the finished product.
