The walk to the mailbox is a bit long

In some places in Vermont, the driveway to the house can be just slightly shorter than the main road coming from town. Unless you live in a state that is rural the concept of having a half to one mile hike to the road isn’t one that fits in with normal living. this comes from not wasting good bottom land with buildings. One either uses that for pasture or raises crops on it. Houses get built up on the hillside which is considered the woodlot.A taste of snowCobbs Hill Rd. Lincoln, Vermont 10/22/2008

About Vermont Woodchuck

Professional Photojournalist since 1969 with a BFA from SUNY Purchase 1979-Visual Arts. I despise advocacy news journalism. Every photojournalist should be prepared to show their camera RAW images of news events. Reason: RAW images cannot be altered no matter what is done to the finished product.
