Spring afternoon on my deck

It was a nice day here in Upstate South Carolina, so I took pencils and pad out to the deck; I decided to set the camera up on the tripod, put the long lens on it and aimed it at the bird house on the side of the shed. Blue birds nest there which surprised me since this box faces west/northwest, not east. So much for old wives tales. More on this tomorrow.
The hydrangea is sitting in a pot, it’s going into the ground tomorrow. But it makes a nice study of shape and color. Always look around at some of the things which is passing, we take as background noise. The world is composed of the small as well as the large. These become landscapes in their own right.
