Old South Carolina

This isn’t so old. I bought furniture at this store when we moved here from Vermont. I’m a firm believer in buying local. Yes, it might cost a bit more but the money stays in the community and your town stays alive.
Unfortunately, the railroad stopped running through Inman. Many store fronts are vacant. Over on Rte 176 (Asheville Highway) the big food stores and fast food places opened. More of the larger discount places came in to these huge plazas creating a blight of pavement and as they went bankrupt, more empty store fronts. Once the heart goes out of a town, either through job loses or shifting economic venues, it is very difficult to get it back. About Vermont Woodchuck

Professional Photojournalist since 1969 with a BFA from SUNY Purchase 1979-Visual Arts. I despise advocacy news journalism. Every photojournalist should be prepared to show their camera RAW images of news events. Reason: RAW images cannot be altered no matter what is done to the finished product.
