A sign of the season

We go about our quotidian chores preparing for the Holidays. For weeks now the stores have decorated for Christmas. Hanukkah is but six days away, starting on sundown 12/6. As we stroll about gazing at the sales arrangements and colors of the lights.
Yet in the background there is that persistent tinkling of a small bell tolling away at our conscience, reminding us that there are people with less, some with a lot less than us and there is a place to help. That Red Kettle can be the difference between something and nothing for someone.Bell ringerAny place you see one, Boiling Springs, South Carolina 11/30/2015

About Vermont Woodchuck

Professional Photojournalist since 1969 with a BFA from SUNY Purchase 1979-Visual Arts. I despise advocacy news journalism. Every photojournalist should be prepared to show their camera RAW images of news events. Reason: RAW images cannot be altered no matter what is done to the finished product.
